What made a good '06

In today's episode of "Cooking with Darren", we watch on as he reveals what truely makes a good, authentic 2006. Ladies and Gentlement, please.

*Standing ovation ensues as Darren steps into the studio.
*Fan girls scream and faint.

Good evening. Today, I shall prepare my very special, "Year 2006".

Ingredients (Serves 1):

100g Family
100g Friends

Marination:

2 teaspoons of Love
2 teaspoons of Outings
2 teaspoons of Bonds
1 cup Care

How to prepare:

1. Place Family and Friends in blender and turn on maximum speed. Blend till well mixed.

2. Place all of the marinating ingredients together, at a slow pace, adding everything at the same time (you may need an assistant). Stir well. Add "Problems" as sparingly as possible (remember, msg is bad for you).

3. Place well blended mixture in marination and marinate for a year. Then, take it out and steam under low heat (oil is bad for you). It can be 1 minute, 1 hour, or 1 day. Take it out when you feel its done and eat it down in a single mouthful.

There. Perfect 2006, done.

Love the part where L wore the mask! So darn funny. Everyone was laughing. whahahaha!!! Then oso the part where light called misa then L pick up "moshi moshi".

FANTASTIC MOVIE!

Woke up this morning quite unpleasently to the sound of my hp alarm (T.M. Revolution's Vestige) but then i felt elated again cause there was no rain!! Non-rainy times seem to make me happy. Used to love the rain but this excess of rain during the school holidays meant that many ppl don't feel like going out, and i end up stuck at home talking to the wall.

So walked to the mamak shop opp. Wrs to buy vitasoy, then saw Mrs Goh at the sch gate. Haha. Her hair's grown longer so she's abit different from 1 month ago, but nevertheless radiant. Chat awhile, then to px hse to teach her how to blade.

Used her bro's blades. Took awhile to get used to skating again, but it was fast. ng down without skates and putting them on downstairs. Theb it started to rain... So we were limited to the space under her block, which is quite big. Tried to teach her how to stop and turn but she didnt really grasp it, though it was a major improvement from just now.

update(9.38pm): The damaged submarine cables is making connection very very spotty. My download speed was at 977 bytes. not even up to kb...

Crumpler: A legend?

Ok, will not start with the title, but will blog about it later, cause it happened later.

So today woke up and YAY!!! not raining!!!

Went to the woodlands stadium badminton hall to paly badminton with eunice oon, px and jy. So fun, but tiring. px has this squat thing that she do's almost everytime when the opponent gains a point. She also made a note that my jump to hit shuttles was weird... Tag team!! Me and px v.s. Oon. Whahahaha.

So went to cwp next and ate pasta. Met karen for a breif moment then off to Marina Square!

At marina decided to count the number of crumplers we see to test the popularity of the crumpler. This continued as we went to heeren and cine (including cwp later) as we were looking for school bag. Jy didnt go to orchard with us >.<

Total crumplers seen: 53
Total time: 4.5 hrs/270mins
Avg: 0.2 crumpelrs per min or 1 crumpler per 5.1 mins

Not bad.

So it rained at cine and we went to the taxi stand. So i went to queue (withstanding a brief moment of rain cause the line went out of the sheltered area while oon and px rested at the sheltered area. Taxi bacck to cwp. Walked awhile then went home.

Was kinda angry on the bus home cause its like peak hour, so everyone's trying to jam in. Then dunno why at the back got alot of space hor, the ppl at the back dun wanna move in!! I was in the middle la, so at the next bus stop i sort of like try to make them notice by going to the back and say excuse me loudly la. Then when i got into the area where there is a large space, the other ppl just look at me like i some sort of idiot.... what the....

So 101st post!!!! Since everyone's talkin about 100th post, i'll harp abour 101st post!! whahahahaha

Headache on my 100th post

Woke up this morning and kinda laid in bed, wishing that the rain would stop. Even went to the extent of singing silently "rain rain go away"

Ok. Headed twisting and turning back to reality. Armed with my trusty umbrella, i set foot upon the long and trecherous journey to that institution that will further improve my intellectual capacity (which is near nil).

So walked along the blocks to the coffeeshop opposite woodgrove pri, then through the blocks again to the traffic junction. Met Jemimah at the junction and walked with her to the back gate (i think) at the tennis court there (which i walked passed at the opposite blocks...).

Met karen, px and eunice oon at the foyer then waited for the rest for awhile before heading up to the hall. Then there was the subj talk until about 11.

Went to cwp to have lunch with my mum and then home.

Sunday (christmas eve):

Went to Suntec to see the garden festival with my dad but eventually didnt go. So walked around suntec looking out for bags then went to citylink and ate at NEW YOURK NEW YORK. wah. Sinful!

The fish was nice, but the chips were cooked earlier so they were soggy... The milkshake was nice and creamy and thick! weees.

Christmas (monday, in case you didn't know):

Stayed home mostly. Went out to cwp to buy chocs and saw karen!!! weeeesss!!

Movies Galore!!

Finally, my com stops crashing and i can write this post^^ Thanks, com.

Went to watch eragon and charlotte's web with wilson and px todae. Eragon was nice. It was a well balanced movie, no boring parts, partly because of its great storyline.

Charlotte's Web was also nice in a way, but some minor parts will not guarantee a long attention span. Still, the animals were KAWAII~!!! Quite sad towards the end too.

Waited for karen and jemi then went to precious thots to see what we bought for ahem. Then karen went off so me, px and jemi went to foodcourt and shared a plate of fried kway tiao (not nice). After that i met my parents and we went to temple to pray. Was really tired but decided to accompany mom to her friend's house to get her clothes, then off to admiralty, where i bought my black hair dye. Didn't see Jian Sheng, though. Shucks. would like catch up with him since he's working there.

Tml meeting jemi at 888 to take stuff, then oon for more stuff.

Why innova placed its orientation day on the 26th of dec, i have no idea. Or as adam sandler would say: "i have no fucking idea"

Seriously, like day after christmas is sooo inappropriate. Innova surprises me everytime.

I would rather be sleeping, but a certain letter contained a certain sentence that said: Your place could be forfeited if you do not turn up without a valid reason", which directly placed the message :"go, or we dont want you"

Morever, i have to dye my hair bacck like 2 weeks ahead of schedule. Probably doing it on mondae. Grrrr.

However, since this blog is about being optimistic, there are some happy things to look forward to as well.

Hopefully I can meet my pri sch classmates there. So far only know 1 going lehs. Hopefully there will be more^^

Precious thots damn cute!

Last day of volunteering at ARC. Was pretty tiring but worth while^^

Went to orchard after that so that px to go to her dental appointment. The train there was very crowded so we got pretty much seperated. Then i saw px like toching her scar lar then i tell her not to if not get worse. Then got one auntie beside me say we look alike. immediately, i deflated and tried to pull open the mrt door.. She even ask if we were siblings (she being older, sinc she's taller). But really nice lady lar. haha. Then walked around with jun you. Feel quite bad for pangsei-ing px cause jun you had to leave.

Met Eunice at cwp to buy "something". Walked around aimlessly for 1 hour. Precious Thots has the cutest (and possibly crappiest) sales person! she outwitted me lar... Say until i nothing to say lor. Got on tube thing mah then she saw us so she say can cook rice lar. Then see the covering like abit inappropriate so ask her if scrape off and sell back to her. She said can, but sell -$10. So expected it lar so was super dots... but damn cute lar she (personality). So super crap lar. then decided to go to civics to take a look. Saw Jeffery on the way there and crapped with him alos.

Went home and the computer apparently refused to let me use it until my dad wanted to play the com. So this psot should have been up at 8 but its now like 10.38.

Probably going again tml. Gonna drink essence of chicken and birds nest to prepare for the battle with that sales person. Aza!!!

What exactly is love?

Many people say that love is one feeling that one cannot understand if not felt before.

often, we would sit in front of the tv and curse at the male lead who fails to confess. but when this sense of attraction comes to us, we find ourselves stuck, hanging on that bamboo pole of doom, where a wrong move would send us tumbling off. Would we be accepted by the other party, and be let into the house, or would we be left on that pole, alone, hurt and damaged.

what is the worst form of love?

1)One-sided love. It is physically, mentally and emotionally destructive to the one sided lover, who desperately tries to cling on to a fragile hope.

2)between close friends. the close relationship may be Jeopardized. People don't want to lose this friendship, yet long to express their feelings.

Either way, both types are equally painful.

Hopeless at love, you can find no one more hopeless than me. I'm always afraid. Cowardice, you call it. Afraid to express and when i do, i express it in such indirect ways that it messes up the whole situation and we end up drifting further and further apart.

Life without School Rumble

Current state of mind: dead

This is so fustrating.

To top it all off, school Rumble OVA's have been removed from youtube.

ARRRRGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Volunteering today was quite enjoyable. Applied for the junior camp but turns out that got canclled so we went for the senior camp. They are all so friendly and nice, and really smart too.

Volunteering in the morning tml. hopefully there will be some fun stuff to do in the afternoon.

Delivery Boy

Woke up freaking early again to accompany my mother to breakfast. Then came home to rot till about 11, when my mother ask me if i want to bath before going out to meet my father. Then very funny la. She want to go out at 12.30 then 11 ask me to bath.... In the end i bath liao sleep until 12 then go out. Went to cwp and then to admaralty.

Went to px's house to take the vcd we rented on monday to return at the overhead bridge there the rental shop. Then call my father cause he meeting me for lunch at admaralty. Turns out he's still at jurong, so walk around looking for the $1 bubble tea shop. Gave up. Asked px. It was at the place i didnt look : the wet market. Bought 2 cups of strawberry red tea and went to px house again to deliver her cup.

Finally my dad came and we went to the chinese doctor for my dad's weekly visit, then home.

Climbed up the staircase 4 times with my dad. I was shocked when he told me his speed at climbing stairs at his prime (35 yrs old). He climb like 12 storeys in 57s. Thats like 5s one storey. I was speechless. Then he told me at that time his 2.4 9 mins 27s. WA!!! I really peng that time. My best is like 12mins...

Decided to put this up cause this song really helped to control my emotions and set me thinking again.

Went to vivo again todae with my parents^^

Ate at the chiken rice shop. the food there is nice! we ordered the combo 3 or something like that. Came with 4 plates of rice, one palte roast chicken, 1 bbq chicken, 1 bean sprouts, 1 shredded mango, 1 tofu and that cone thing where you put vegetables in. Wa. ate damn alot lar. Ate 1.5 plates of rice.

Walked to habourfront centre and then home^^

yep, not very interesting, but still, something to remember.

Did so many things with 2 other ppl today. FUN~!!!!!

Met tl at cwp at 9.45 and went to the woodlands stadium to play badminton with eunice oon. Got thrashed by both. But still, it was fun^^. Tl managed to beat all of us, but he sweat like crazy. His sweat practically flowed off his body.

After that walked eunice to the bus stop and waited for her to go off before we went to cwp again to have lunch. Met yunxuan as I was buying ban main, which tasted quite horrible. Usually its not this horrible, but ytd it was like... bland. Added some soy sauce then ok ler.

Called px out. Realised should have called her while we were eating cause we waited 90mins for her... Went to take 966 to marina and went to do some engraving. Then we bought a kite and its off to east coast!

Found a windy spot and we each flew the kite once, tl first, px next and me last. Then we anchored the kite i the ground and built a sand castle over it :D

Wrote our names in the sand and sat down and talk about so many things until about 6 when it started to rain. So we walked at an extremely fast pace to macdonalds. Px the most dry de lar. I lend her my umbrella then she cover herself and half of me...

Reached macs in about 10mins. Washed our legs and went upstairs to play pool! Px beat tl twice while i sorta helped or hindered px by hitting some good and bad ones. Played for an hour and realised the rain stop liao so we went to subway to eat. Their sandwich was delicious but very filling. The cookies well... crispy on the outside but soft on the inside...

Went bacck to find our kite but realised it had snapped and flown off. went further down the beach and screamed AHHHHHHHH for many times. Then we scream SIHUI!!!! KAREN!!!! EUNICE!!!!! and many more until our throats went sore.

Took 966 bacck and reach woodlands at around 10. Px wanted to walk home so we accopanied her but at 888 i left cause my mum called me...

Come bacck got scolded cause supposed to be home before 9, but this mornign ok liao. Went to breakfast with her and then market^^

Woke up at about 10 then wanted to slp more but having quiote a bad cold so no choice but to get up and get tissue. By the time i walk back to bed already awake ler.

Skipped breakfast since going to lunch ler. My sweet grandma bought duck rice for me! delicious! but the chilli abit tasteless. Then went to surf blogs and youtube until about 12. Got extremely bored and asked some ppl out for movie.

From here very confusing ler. I meeting jy, teng long and px at cwp at 2. Then i call jy to ask if we can watch something else other than happy feet and he said he cant come liao. Karen called cause she sae she very sian waiting for her sis job interview so we chatted and i left the house at 1.30. Reach cwp at around 1.40.

Pei Xian sms and say meet at 3, so i talk with Karen and walked around aimlessly at cwp until about 2.30 when px say she very tired ask us come her hse rent movie and watch. (Bought headsets!!!)

After i told teng long, she say cant go her hse so i tell teng long again. The we decided to watch movie but then she sms me again and tell me can go her house ler so waited for teng long. He ate at cwp (the chicken culet noodle. the culet quite nice^^. Thanks, teng long)

Went to 888 plaza to rent disc then realise cannot rent cause we didnt bring ic... So we went to px hse, dragged her out to the overheadbridge over admaralty to rent discs. there cheaper summore! $3 nia, regardless of latest or not. Rented 5 : Corpse bride, millions, big ,mama's house 2, and the rest i forget ler..

Bought lots of seeweed (4 packs) and 6 packs of green tea and went bacck to her hse to watch.

Watched big momma's house 2 and most of corpse bride (fast forward at the middle) and then ate dinner at her hse, which was cooked by her mom. (delicious, again. seem to be getting alot of good food todae^^)

Left at about 8.30 then got on the bus. lickily the bus is go admaralty de cause i realise i forgot to take my headphones so i rushed bacck and took them and went home.

Reach home ler eat again. haha. but eat very slowly, took about 40mins to finish half bowl of rice cause ate like one plate plus soup at px hse. Gave mum a massage and then computer! haha.

Can't go out tml cause mom not happy. this week only going out on wed cause spending time with dad on thurs and fri. so i guess on thurs and fri only free in the morning, before 12.

ok, i'm smelly enough. gotta go bath.
